Ok, so, people have been wondering where have I been?  They ask "Why's it taking you, like, a week or two to respond to my freakin' note about contest entry crap?!"  Well, children, it's because of DA.  "Say what?"  You say, "But FOR WHAT?  You're not doing some kind of hugbox call out about how no one loves you are you?!" No!  Of course not.  EVERYBODY LOVES ME.  EVERY.  BODY.  O______O

The reason I'm not getting on DA so much is because of a HORRENDOUS VIRUS that the DA website has on it that attacks people who visit the website.  It's been suggested that it comes through the ads and, therefore, targets us poor stooges who don't have premium memberships.  I have been attacked by this virus TWICE while visiting DA.  Though I have fixed it both times on my computer, it's still left me a little shy to come here.  Therefore, I only visit DA on public computers, for short periods of time just to answer notes and clean out my inbox.

This is what USUALLY happens to me...in case it might happen to you:  The virus usually pops up and my virus protection program says it's taking care of it and says it's squirreling it away to some vault.  After this happens, I'm usually kicked off the internet and when I try to get on, it asks me what PROGRAM I want to use to open this FILE.  The file being THE INTERNET.  I try to open other programs like, oh, Photoshop or System Restore or even FREAKIN' PAINT and I get the window that asks "What program do you want to choose to open this file?" It's a PAIN IN THE ASS and ridding my computer of this virus is usually an hour-long process.  It cuts into a lot of my time.

I'm not the only one who's been attacked by this virus, as, another deviant contacted me recently to warn me about it and, once finding out I had already contracted it before, glean my information onto how to remove the virus.  It's going around DA and, though I've reported it, twice, so far I have NO IDEA if or when they're going to fix it, and I don't even know if anyone is going to INFORM ME that the problem has been resolved.

It works for my computer, but you'll usually need access to a secondary computer or not be off the internet to do it.  

Since there is SO MUCH UNCERTAINTY surrounding this virus, and because I cherish my home laptop, I've...rarely been on DA.  Watch out for yourselves, non-premium-membership folks...even those with memberships should beware!  I heard of another deviant who was LOGGING INTO their premium membership and caught the virus RIGHT ON THE FRONT PAGE!  Not even signed in yet!  So, be careful...and I guess that I'll see you when I see you....
