I would like it to be made PERFECTLY CLEAR that the original title of this piece was "The Brotherhood of Swing-Steppin' Mutants" but the title restriction wouldn't allow it.

My entry to 's "Time Warp Contest." I know, how lame am I for entering my own contest...this is the THIRD TIME I've done that.

Little known fact about me...I LOVE time periods. More specifically the 1930's. Though above is actually the Brotherhood in a more 1920's fashion.

This is not only an entry to the Time Warp Contest, but it is also a character sheet for my upcoming (and by "upcoming" I mean "never going to happen") film noir-based fan comic mini-series "Liaison." It's a dark time in the city streets of Bayville where a young and rough-edged private detective, Lance Alvers, constantly straddles the edge of chaos and order. His life is irrevocably changed when the "blond* bombshell," Pietro Maximoff walks into his office offering the case of a lifetime: find his father, the King Pin known only by his street name as "Magneto." Mystery, betrayal, and intrigue abound as the intrepid private eye tries to track down the most secretive and dangerous man in Bayville. "Liaison" is one illicit encounter you don't want to miss.

How's THAT for a cheesy film noir-esque plug? XD The story WOULD be an AU version of the Brotherhood in the 1930's with a colorful cast including the above Brotherhood members plus Mystique, Magneto, Rogue, and a few others...that is if I EVER got around to doing it. O.o;;

*I HATE it when people call Pietro "blond." XP I am not ENDORSING it at all, the description just suits my needs for the story. But yeah...he's not blond. >___>
